Abstract

Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors have become one of the most widely used sensors in the recent times for a variety of applications in the fields of aerospace, civil, automotive, etc. It has been recently realizedthat FBGs and etched FBGs can play an important role in bio-medical applications. This article provides a brief overview of the recent advancements in the application of FBG sensors in bio-mechanical, bio-sensing and bio-medical fields.
